Anybody is prone and can be infected by the fatal sexually transmitted disease known as Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). And the saddest part of this the majority of the people are not really aware that they have HPV because this fatal disease doesn't reveal any sign and symptoms in the early stage and it continues inside the human body which can result in cervical cancer. The Human Papilloma Virus can be transmitted through direct skin to skin contact and any types of s*xual interc*urse with the infected person. Based on the study, women are more susceptible to HPV particularly those who reaches the age of 30 and onwards. That is why the Gynecologist suggested that women to have a scheduled check-up although she has no regular s*xual activities. The physician will require you to have a Pap smear to check any signs of abnormality in your private and genital areas. A sign of cervical cancer can be determined by abnormal changes and differences in the cervix area. If the undergone test like Pap smear shows signs of abnormalities, the doctor will pursue you to have a colposcopy.

According to Mayo Clinic Colposcopy is a procedure to closely examine your cervix, vagina, and vulva for signs of disease. During colposcopy, your doctor uses a special instrument called a colposcope. Your doctor may recommend colposcopy if your Pap test has shown abnormal results. Although the Pa smear test is normal, it is also required to have a colposcopy because it will show the more clear result if there are any cells in the area that have abnormalities.

1.Cryotherapy
2.Conization
3.Laser Therapy
4. Loop electrosurgical procedure(LEEP)

Remember that this test is not recommended if you are pregnant or would like to conceive a baby. It is better to inform the medical expert immediately because it may affect your pregnancy.
