Car Exploded At The Gas Station During Refilling Of Fuel! Here's Why It Happens?

It was a terrifying moment when a car exploded at a Compressed Natural Gas Station in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil when it was being filled up. The tragic incident creates a one woman lifeless and three more people injured. Based on the CCTV footage of the Gas station the tragic incident in Rio De Janeiro appears that the driver identified as Jorge Siqueira de Souza, 45 years old is talking to his female passenger and seriously injured by the explosion together with another two people. The female passenger was identified as Erica de Lima Thiengo Siqueira, 27 years old was gone lifeless immediately after the explosion which resulting in her body burn and hardly identified.

The woman was thrown away to the ground because of the impact of the explosion. The attendant in the Gas Station was filling up the Volkswagen SpaceFox of Erica with Compressed Natural Gas. After refilling, unexpectedly the car erupted damaging another nearby car and severely damage the Gas Station roof.

The Fire Department of Rio De Janeiro, reports that the reason of explosion was the pressure develop inside the cylinder container during the filling up of the Compressed Natural Gas. And it is not because of using mobile phones in the area of the tragedy. Because there are no flames seen in the area of the explosion. Even though the mobile phone is not the cause of explosion it is better to be careful and avoid using a mobile phone at a Gas Station to be safe and prevent an accident like this.
