Fishes Fall Like Rain in Agusan del Sur, Residents Were Shocked!

The residents of Agusan del Norte were shocked, surprised and puzzled when a group of fish falls on the ground coming from above together with the rain. It happened on the early morning of January 13, 2012, the people in the village of Poblacion Loreto were shocked and surprised in the incident because plenty of mudfish that fall unto them like a rain that measures 3 inches long. It also happens in Thailand where many fish fall like a rain which was reported from BBC. The fish was put into an aquarium because they are still alive and 72 pieces of mudfish survive the incident.It was estimated that total of 80 fishes but only 72 survives.

According to Butuan PAGASA Chief Engr. Lolit Binalay it is not the first time the rained out of fish in the area, but it happened a few years ago in Lake Mainit of Agusan Marsh, Agusan del Sur. According to the American scientist Nilton Renno, it was called Lluvia de Peces phenomenal.

It happened when a whirlwind that passes through the lake and creates a water spout that brings the fish above the cloud and it fall back to the ground when the clouds is unable to hold them because they swim in the clouds and fall down when the wind cannot hold them and falls coming from the sky like a rain.The mudfish that survive from the phenomenon were brought to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources for more investigation of the incident.
