It was a very sad story to an OFW who had been on vacation in the country when he was caught in a CCTV footage was beaten and resulting into his death in Quezon City along Scout Lazcano St. Based on the CCTV footage in the Scout Lazcano St. shown were a group of men fighting with a single man. It was also shown that several girls are trying to prevent the fighting but the alleged group foreigners continue to beat the OFW with a hat and identified as Gino Basas. After some time the victim tries to go away from the fight but he was chased by the groups and continually beat until it fell on the ground. There are other men arrives at the scene and again beats the victim and the woman that was the companion of the victim tries to prevent the beating.
According to the resident Lola Nene, she was awakened because of the noise of the fight against the OFW and the group of the foreigner. Lola Nene shared what she heard in the incident
" Sigawan, Tama na! Dito lang kmi umano sa pinto nmin dahil nga sobra na ingay"After a couple of minutes there are some men arrives and help to make stand on the victim and loaded in the car that was parked in and rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, his gone lifeless in the hospital.
According to Lola Nene who heard the fighting that it is more than 10 people that beat the victim and according to her were allegedly foreigners. Lola Nene added
" hindi pinoy eh, mga intsik."The incident was already investigated by the Quezon City Police District. The authorities are now collecting CCTV footage in the area where the incident happens to know the identity of the suspects and to know the reason of the fighting.
