" Yes. We were able to talk to her. She tells us that while the police personnel assigned to guard her have been polite and professional, she does not feel at all safe in her detention area. She is defenseless. She does not feel safe because she is very much aware of the criminal capabilities of the leader of the current administration. The testimonies of both Matobato and Lascañas point to the disturbing truth that a mass murd*rer was elected President of our beloved country."The family of De Lima shared the letter wrote by the lady senator on a book page, here is the letter wrote by here which was shared by her family.
"Dear All/Loved Ones. While I'm psychologically prepared for this, my whole being cries out for the truth and justice...My heart also bleeds for all the victims of injustice those who were also falsely accused and now cramped in severely congested jails.but God who is all-knowing and infinitely good and just will make sure that evil will not triump..I pray for more strength and fortitude. Let's all be strong...Love you all."

" We are sad and we are angry. There is an injustice done to our sister and to our country. Political persecution is in the air. She is being persecuted for her crusade against extra-judicial kil*ings and the culture of impunity which are trademarks of this present administration."

" What a very sad is that poor and the defenseless are the ones being targeted by the EJK's. She is not guilty of the public charges against her. She is not a protector of dr*g lords. She has not received any money from dr*g lords. She is not corrupt. She is no criminal. She does not have money to buy her own house. The house she was staying in before her detention is rented. She does have any money to pay for high-priced lawyers to defend her. Each day she is behind bars is a day of injustice."In spite of the charges, she was facing her Family said
