DOLE Is Now Studying For The Temporary Suspension Of The Deployment Of Household Service Worker In Kuwait

The Department of Labor and Employment is now studying the temporary deployment of Overseas Filipino workers (OFW), particularly the Household Service workers in the State of Kuwait. According to the report of the GMA News said by DOLE Sec. Silvestre Bello III last Friday. It was due to the reports of increasing abuses of Employers.Bello added that they will consult with other government agencies and stakeholders regarding the moratorium according to the reports of the Inquirer.

Recently a certain OFW named Jakatia Pawa a Household Service Worker in the State of Kuwait was executed for the alleged killing of her employer's son last 2007 and she denies the charges until to the last moment of her de*th.

Dole Chief added that the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration(OWWA) will process the travel documents of the family of Pawa if they want to visit the burial place in Kuwait.
Bello said:
"Hinihintay lang ang kanilang desisyon kung kailan nila gustong magpunta ng Kuwait. Kami ay narito naman para asikasuhin ang kanilang pangangailangan,"

Bello flies to the State of Kuwait after the third round of peace talks in Italy with the communist rebels to look after the situation of another OFW on the de*th row in the kingdom of Kuwait. According to the ABS-CBN Bello told that he tries to rescue another de*th convict Elpidio Lano which is sentenced for k*lling fellow Filipino last June 17, 2014.
