From the interview with the ABS-CBN reporter, Garcia shared
" Naka-red light naman po at nasa pedestrian lane ako. Sana naman binalikan nya ako, sana naman tinulungan niya ako."This is the sentiment of the victim that she was expecting help from the driver who hit her but unfortunately ran and gets away. According to the Manila Risk Reduction and Management Office (MRRMO) who monitors all the CCTV in the city, they notice that majority of the motorist didn't follow traffic rules and regulations, especially on the day break.
The Management office reminded that motorist that doesn't disregard the traffic lights, be cautious on the pedestrians.They call the attention of the drivers and motorist who witness the incident to contact their office to help the poor victim. The Management Office advises the public to be vigilant and cooperate and even they request to hide their identities they will do it. The driver suspect will face charges of beating the red light and reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries. For the pedestrian be vigilant and watchful when crossing the road because many drivers are not following traffic rules and regulations.
